Ron Donoho's BlogBLOG: Blogging Me, Blogging You, Uh-huh
Editor's Letter (7/27/10) Sing this to the tune of that still-played mega-hit from the 1977 album Cheap Trick at Budokan: “I blawwwwg, yooouu, to blog me…” Remember albums? Remember Cheap Trick? Well, I want you to want me, and this is no cheap trick—SanDiego.com is looking for bloggers. Up for it? Our Web site (highlights of which—ta-da—show up in your email inbox) has been quietly expanding coverage. We have a writing team with national credentials, local sports and news wire services, Fox 5 video and in-depth insight from media partner VoiceOfSanDiego.org. And while we grow in a multitude of ways, I’m inviting some of you to get onboard our cyber-wagon. We’re growing our blog team. ![]() My favorite San Diego skyline view--taken from the deck of the Coronado ferry. By Ron Donoho If you have a good, existing blog that’s currently just being seen by chirping crickets, we may have an audience for you. If you’re an insightful writer who’s been too busy to physically start a blog, we might have a place for your observations and insights to be read. The number-one priority for our blog page is finding in-the-know chroniclers of San Diego’s neighborhoods. We want to hear what’s happening in North Park, South Park, Hillcrest, downtown or any beach community. And so on. I’m looking forward to finding and combining the best of our local blogosphere. Potential bloggers are welcome to email me (ron@sandiego.com). What are the fiscal rewards, you ask? Nil—for now. But this is an opening in the cyber-fence. Get your foot in our door (unusual imagery not intended), or take advantage of the traffic that visits SanDiego.com (more than a million page views per month, and growing). We’ve got big plans. And no, not even the Dream Police can stop us. (Yep, that’s another Cheap Trick song.)… Posted by Ron Donoho on Tue, Jul 27th, 2010 Last updated Mon, Jul 26th, 2010
