Little Italy’s Porto Vista Hotel is auctioning off the entire hotel on eBay for one lucky bidder to own…for 24 hours.

From noon on December 31, 2010, through noon on January 1, 2011, the hotel can belong to you and 300 of your closest friends for New Year’s Eve.

“Every year, hotels around San Diego attempt to out-do one another with their New Year’s Eve party plans,” says Porto Vista general manager Greg Keebler. “We are sure that whoever is the winning bidder of Porto Vista’s hotel-wide party will have the ultimate New Year’s bash…The hotel will be transformed into a personal wonderland.”

The auction includes: the hotel’s 189 rooms and VIP suites; the Glass Door Restaurant with personal chef and customized menu for a meal for up to 50 VIP guests; a party on the Ripassi rooftop deck for 300 guests, equipped with a DJ, personalized menu, open bar and private luxury cabanas; and the entire hotel staff catering to every need.

The “owner” of the hotel will also have his or her name emblazoned along on the side of the hotel, customized business cards, employee uniforms featuring the owner’s name, and a personalized Web site landing page for guest reservations.
