In its third annual conference, to be held August 3, Moms in Business Unite (MIBU) will once again help empower entrepreneurial women to “Be Bold & Begin in 2011.” The event will be held at the University of San Diego, Joan Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice.

The group, which formed in 2008, is comprised of five women with nearly 40 years of combined business experience. Their goal and mission is to empower and educate the growing number of women in business. The conference promises to provide the tools, resources and guidance to help women achieve their entrepreneurial dreams.

This year’s keynote speaker will be Lorin Beller Blake, CEO of Big Fish Nation. Blake is an award winning speaker and business coach who is passionate in helping other women to become “big fishes.” All women in attendance will have the opportunity to learn from Wendy Robbins, co-host of “Homemade Millionaire” on TLC.

The conference will feature educational breakout sessions focusing on four main areas: Getting Started, Running Efficiently, Next Level and Inventor Fast Track. Each session is designed to inspire at all levels of the business cycle, whether a business is just starting or needs to level up. There will also be time allotted for networking. The lectures and varied sessions make the conference ideal for any business woman.

MIBU will not only empower and inspire women, but also let them shine with the Mompreneur Grant and Inventor Showcase. The Inventor Showcase will give women the opportunity to showcase their own products or ideas as other attendees vote to select the best new product or service of the year to be featured on MIBU’s website. The Mompreneur Grant also offers resources to a business mom in need of capital to help her take the business to the next level.

Tickets to the conference and reception are $165 and can be purchased at the Moms in Business Unite website. Last-minute and walk-up tickets will be $185.
